Juan
José Pozo López and Manuel Torres Gómez -partners- founded the enterprise
in 1990 in Pineda de Mar. We began winding textured polyester.This activity
aproached us directly to the articles that we deal with now.
In
1991, the rapier of the textured warehouse in several holding was
a maximum of 4.000 Kgs, which 70% of them were winding articles.
Then the whole rapier was polyester, since the poliamide was not in
the textile sector that we dealed with.
In
1992 we begin to manipulate the polyamide to introduce it to the making
market, at the same time that they went being carried out tests of unite
and assemble with torsions that we finally presented in the sector.
On the other hand, we also work with very concrete headings in polyester:
the 70/1, 100/1, 150/1 and the 70/2 in polyamide. At the same time,
all is combined with some sporadic continous cop type departure and
something of cut fiber. But our inclination was centered in the polyester
and in the textured polyamide.
The
1993 was an important year for the growth of the company, since reached
and passed over the decisives purchases and sales quotes for the future
of Iltex. Starting from this year the purchases and sales annual graphics
shot up, fact that produced several changes in the structure of the
company. We hired more manpower and, later, the work possibilities
were enlarged at computer level. From this moment, computers began
to be our most important tool of work, mainly in the controls and,
especially, in the rapier. The computerization has such speeded up
the work, that our concern in order to improve the logistical part
of our company is constant.
In
1997, our growth allowed us to invest in a warehouse of our property,
fact that gives us a better work quality and better agility in all the
levels.
Our
constant interest to find different sectors of the textile that would
consume other stuff inside the textured, has allowed us to increase
the specific titles in polyester (from the 50/1 to the 150/4) and
in polyamide from the 17/1 to the 100/8 with all the characteristics
that these articles can take.
At
the moment, Iltex is in Mataró, in a warehouse of 500 m2 and an approximate
rapier of 150 tons, which 90% of thoses are original sealed boxes.
