Situation plane of the city

Mataró is the capital of the district d'El Maresme. It has a population of 112.000 inhabitants (2003). Their main economical activities are Industry, Trade and Services. Mataró is at 29 Km of the city of Barcelona. The patron parties are in 27th and 28th of July.

 

The industrial polygon Mata Rocafonda is located beside the neighborhood of Rocafonda, to the northeast of the city. This polygon, with an extension of 85.000 m2, is basically dedicated to the industry and the services, mainly ocupied for textil sector companies, feeding, glass, sawmill and transport. It has an excellent communication for the freeway A-19 and the highway N-II.
